BREAKING: Trump says he had 'very good call' with Tim Walz, on 'similar wavelength'

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had called him, with the two having a "very good" conversation, "with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota."

"Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota," Trump wrote. "It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength. I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Homan call him, and that what we are looking for are any and all Criminals that they have in their possession. The Governor, very respectfully, understood that, and I will be speaking to him in the near future. He was happy that Tom Homan was going to Minnesota, and so am I! We have had such tremendous SUCCESS in Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and virtually every other place that we have 'touched' and, even in Minnesota, Crime is way down, but both Governor Walz and I want to make it better!"

This comes after Trump announced earlier on Monday morning that he was sending border czar Tom Homan to the state as a major immigration crackdown has been underway.

"I am sending Tom Homan to Minnesota tonight. He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there. Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me. Separately, a major investigation is going on with respect to the massive 20 Billion Dollar, Plus, Welfare Fraud that has taken place in Minnesota, and is at least partially responsible for the violent organized protests going on in the streets. Additionally, the DOJ and Congress are looking at 'Congresswoman' Illhan Omar, who left Somalia with NOTHING, and is now reportedly worth more than 44 Million Dollars. Time will tell all."
 

Over the weekend, Walz urged Americans to stop calling ICE "law enforcement. They are not law enforcement." He said that he had spoken with Trump’s chief of staff and requested that they "get these federal agents out of there. They were going to cause more chaos." This comes after anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti was fatally shot in Minneapolis by a Border Patrol agent. He was armed at the time, authorities said. 

“This will end when enough Americans say this will end. Do I have any confidence Donald Trump will do the right thing? No, I don't have a lot of confidence Donald Trump will do the right thing. I do have a lot of confidence that the majority of the American people will do the right thing, and I think there cannot be very many people across this country looking right now after all the reporting that's been done, after everything that's been said under the pretense that they are here about immigration reform,” Walz said.
