Former President Donald Trump torched special counsel Jack Smith as well as federal Judge Tanya Chutkan in a new post he put up on Truth Social Monday, just hours after his official trial date in Washington, DC was set for March 4, 2024—the day before Super Tuesday. Trump suggested the actions of both parties amount to election interference, and promised he would appeal the decision.

"Deranged Jack Smith & his team of Thugs, who were caught going to the White House just prior to Indicting the 45th President of the United States (an absolute No No!), have been working on this Witch Hunt for almost 3 years, but decided to bring it smack in the middle of Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent’s campaign against him," Trump began in a post to Truth Social. "Election Interference!"

The former president addressed his recently set trial date immediately after his remark about election interference, writing, "Today a biased, Trump Hating Judge gave me only a two month extension, just what our corrupt government wanted, SUPER TUESDAY. I will APPEAL!"

Trump made a follow-up post in which he asked how one can be indicted based on "the findings of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Marxists, Fascists, and Political Hacks," and added that "these same lowlifes" have been exposed for "lying for years about Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, FISA, the Fake Dossier, & much more." He then said that the aforementioned groups "purposely & Illegally DESTROYED & DELETED all of the Evidence, Findings, & Proof of the January 6th Committee."

"When will Deranged Jack Smith Criminally Charge the Committee?" asked Trump.

This roasting by Trump comes just hours after his attorney, John Lauro, decried Judge Tanya Chutkan's decision regarding the former president's court date but noted that he intends to follow it.

Lauro alleged that prosecutors set up a grand jury indictment of Trump to satisfy their boss, who he says is "running in a political campaign against President Trump."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
