A tire explosion at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has killed two people in the Delta maintenance area.

Two people have been confirmed dead with another person being seriously injured after a tire exploded in the Delta maintenance area near Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson airport Tuesday morning, according to Fox News. The plane was reportedly a Boeing 757 and had traveled from Las Vegas to Atlanta Sunday night. The cause of the explosion is currently unknown.

In a statement, Delta said, "The Delta family is heartbroken at the loss of two team members, the Delta family is grateful for the quick action of first responders and medical teams on site. We are now working with local authorities and conducting a full investigation to determine what happened."

“Trump Force Two” recently had to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee due to problems with the door seal. Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) was on board at the time.

That emergency landing occurred just one week after former President Donald Trump’s plane had to divert on the way to a rally in Montana. Trump stopped in Billingings because of mechanical problems, changed planes and was airborne again en route to Bozeman.
