"The pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal. After declaring an emergency, Trump Force Two returned to Milwaukee," spokeswoman Taylor Van Kirk said, according to the Daily Mail.
Van Kirk said that once the issue with the chartered Boeing 737 was solved, "the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati."
The emergency landing comes one week after Trump’s plane was forced to divert on the way to a rally in Montana. Trump landed in Billings due to a mechanical malfunction and switched planes before continuing to Bozeman.
Vance has been traveling the country in the plane since being named Trump's running mate with key staff members, Secret Service agents, as well as some journalists. His wife, Usha, and their dog Atlas were traveling with Vance on Friday.
