On Saturday, Dashawn Williams, a registered sex offender who had been convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in 2015, was arrested in a Bronx, New York hotel for two unrelated, recent rapes he had allegedly committed.

The New York Post reports that Williams' previous sentence was for three years and six months for the first-degree attempted rape of the child, and he served three years of that sentence before being released in 2020 on parole.

Williams' criminal record reflects a history of arrests for "aggravated harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing" according to police. He is being held on $100,000 bail at Rikers Island.

Both of the incidents happened at the 7 Days Hotel in the Castle Hill part of the Bronx.

The first instance was from September 17 when Williams allegedly followed his victim to her hotel room. As she went to shut the door, he jammed it with his foot and forced his way into her room while wielding a knife.

According to the complaint filed by the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, he allegedly shouted, "Give me the money!" and made the woman give him $1,200 in cash. He then forced the woman to perform oral sex on him at knifepoint and then ended his attack by taking her phone and sending himself another $200 via a cash app.

The second instance was reportedly on November 8 when Williams allegedly responded to an online ad and entered a woman's room around 6:00 am. Using a hammer he threatened the woman and took $1,700 in cash and shouted, "Is that everything?"

"I am going to hurt you if it’s not everything," he told her.

Using a similar MO he wired himself $149 via a cash app and forced her to perform oral sex.

"Get a condom so I can f*ck you," he told the victim. "Do it or I’m going to knock you out."

After she resisted he raped her and then fled.

According to the Post, "he is now charged with third-degree rape, criminal sex act and first-degree robbery in each of the cases."

Overall crime is up 29 percent across New York City, slightly down from 34 percent over the summer, and has been surging at rates as high as 50 percent since 2020. Felony assaults in New York are up 17 percent.

In August, Adams said NYC was too crime-ridden for illegal immigrants who were getting off buses anywhere else but the Big Apple as they were being transported up from Texas.
