The CN Tower was lit up in red, blue, and white to support the Montreal Canadiens, who are Canada's last remaining team in the Stanley Cup finals.

This after Toronto's own hockey team, the Maple Leafs, lost a series to the Canadians. Toronto lost the series in seven games, despite having taken a 3-1 series lead.

The Canadiens would go on to face the Winnipeg Jets, who they took care of in a quick four games.

The decision to light the tower up, however, was not loved by all, including Toronto Mayor John Tory, who said: "Not sure what was up with the CN Tower last night. Just confirming the Toronto Sign will not be lit up in the Canadiens' colours. #LeafsForever."
