Media personality Candace Owens tweeted, "I can't believe I'm tweeting this but.. they are pushing the trans agenda on children via muppet babies. This is sick and PERVERTED. Everyone should be disturbed by predatory cartoons meant to usher children into gender dysphoria. Bring back manly muppets, anyone?"

To give an example of what Candace Owens is talking about in her tweet, here is a compilation of the original "Gonzo" character's scenes from the original "Muppet Show," which originally aired decades ago.

As can be seen, "Gonzo" was originally a zany character who claimed he was misunderstood while trying to foist his half-baked "performance art" ideas on an always unreceptive audience. Hilarity always ensued.
His original character is worlds apart from the new "Gonzorella" in "Muppet Babies." In the example shown above in the tweet, other characters are talking about an "amazing princess" they met at the "royal ball," obviously alluding to the classic Cinderella story. Throughout their dialog, they refer to the princess using the pronoun "they."
They tell Gonzo that he/they shoulda been there, which is when he/they does his/their reveal that he is, in fact, the "amazing princess," and that his name is "Gonzorella," mentioning that the others all "expected me to look a certain way."
"Muppet Babies" may be part of a growing trend to forcefully push a progressive, gender fluid ideology on children. Arthur, Blues Clues, and My Little Pony are among those kids' tv shows that have succumbed to new critical gender ideology. The entire Nikelodeon network has also come under the spell of gender ideology.
Recent reporting suggests that if the Viacom-owned channel is trying to get "woke" for the sake of ratings, the plan isn't working. According to a site called Pirates & Princesses, the ratings for the Nickelodeon are stagnating.
"Since July of 2017, Nickelodeon’s viewership has dropped from 1.3 million average viewers per week to a June of 2021 average of only 372,000. In only four years, Nickelodeon has dropped more than two thirds of its audience. That is catastrophically bad for the cable channel, but with cable on the way out, maybe it’s not so bad? The catch here is that it is, in fact, that bad and perhaps worse, simply because Nickelodeon seems to be the primary driving force behind new subscribers to Paramount+," they report.
