New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced today that quarantine checkpoints would be installed at entrances to the city. Cuomo shut down ten more restaurants.

The check-points at transit hubs and on roadways are meant to enforce the 14-day quarantine mandate for visitors arriving from the 35 states on the "hotspots" list.

De Blasio said that travelers to the city "will be reminded that it is required and not optional. This is serious stuff. If we're going to hold at this level, the quarantine is going to have to be enforced." This according to the Daily News.

Officials in law enforcement will be at airports and other transit hubs, as well as bridges and tunnels, to interrogate travelers about their intentions in the city and where they will be staying. Visitors will have to register with authorities.

De Blasio said that, despite the city's declining rate of coronavirus infection and death, "the national outlook is not encouraging to say the least. We need to do what we've been doing and do it consistently."

The city has not, however, been demanding to know what visitors are up to, nor required people to register with authorities. The sheriff said that traffic stops would be "randomized."

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo continues his crusade to destroy New York businesses by clamping down on restaurants that defy orders to remain closed. This week, Cuomo added 10 more NYC bars and restaurants to the list of those that have had their liquor licenses revoked for daring to open to patrons.

The State Liquor Authority, operating under guidance from the governor's office, suspended the liquor licenses of 10 more bars and restaurants for violations of coronavirus contagion prevention restrictions. The total number of targeted restaurants and bars is up to 94.

One restaurant in the Bronx lost its ability to serve alcohol when four people were observed eating inside spread out over two tables. Another establishment in Brooklyn had twelve people eating inside, and employees were not wearing face masks. There was a DJ "set up" as well. In Ossining, north of the city in Westchester County, patrons were "drinking, playing pool, and mingling inside without masks and ignoring social distancing guidelines."

In New York City's East Village, Boxcar Lounge "admitted serving alcohol to patrons without food." Another restaurant in the Bronx was observed to have three people eating and drinking inside. A Queens establishment was shuttered over having four people inside.

The new norms of outdoor dining in New York City have been touted as a success by de Blasio, but a restaurant in Queens that had a band playing outside while 25 people listened on was closed because the beverages being consumed did not have lids and the patrons were not appropriately distanced.

People are not allowed to gather indoors, and when they are spotted gathering out of doors, that is also a problem. 1010 Wins Radio has the full list of establishments and associated violations.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has come under fire for his handling of the coronavirus, his allegiance to far-left political activist group BLM, and the massive crime increase the city is experiencing. Meanwhile, Cuomo continues his crusade to shutter businesses that don't comply with his guidance.
