Dem Chris Murphy slammed for replying 'awesome' to report Iranian vessels 'bypass US blockade' in Strait of Hormuz

Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy is cheering for the United States to fail in Iran because he hates the president. "Awesome," Murphy said as he shared an article headlined "At least 26 Iranian shadow fleet vessels bypass US blockade." 



"A Democrat Senator is now publicly rooting for Iran. Did ActBlue start accepting donations from the regime’s oil revenue?" Said Montana Senator Tim Sheehy.

"The Democrats are rooting for Iran—literally," said commentator Batya Ungar-Sargon. "Senator Chris Murphy may be the most psychotic example of this, but he is the apotheosis of a vibe that is utterly pervasive in the anti-Trump Left and Right. Donald Trump has a super-power: He exposes the most despicable qualities in his opponents, revealing them to be utterly beneath contempt."

"The Senator from Tehran," said Fox Digital's David Marcus.

Murphy, who recently complained about America, President Trump, and Americans as he gave a speech to the Global Progressivism Organization meet-up in Barcelona, has been an opponent of Trump's incursion into the Middle East. In recent media appearances, Murphy has claimed "This administration has totally lost touch with reality. This war is spinning out of control." 

He also said, "What we know is that the minute we stop bombing, this new regime is going to start rebuilding their missile capacity and their drone capacity. The estimates are that it will only take them a handful of months to reconstitute that threat. So what did we get at the end of this war? We're going to waste billions of dollars. We're going to get dozens, if not hundreds, of Americans killed. We're going to start new conflicts in the region. And when it's all said and done, a more provocative regime is going to be in charge with the same military capacities."

And now he seems to think it's "awesome" that Iranian oil tankers snuck past the US naval blockade. 

"This White House is the most corrupt White House in the history of our nation," he told European progressives in Barcelona. "Now Donald Trump thinks he can get away with this in America by distracting us, by telling Americans that the real threats to our lives are immigrants, or Muslims, gay children, drag shows off in Europe, he wants to turn us against each other."

"He's also trying to silence dissent," Murphy went on. "He threatens to lock up my colleagues for opposing him. He's invaded American cities with his personal political police force ICE to crush peaceful protest. But here is what I am in Barcelona to tell you, united with progressive parties all over the world, in the United States of America, Donald Trump is not going to win."
