Billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly donated to a political action committee (PAC) working to support former President Donald Trump’s bid for a second term in office.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Tesla CEO made an undisclosed “sizeable amount” donation to America PAC. This PAC, which can receive unlimited contributions but cannot directly fund a candidate, is required to disclose its donors on July 15.

Musk, one of the world's richest men, has been a vocal critic of President Joe Biden and has expressed disagreement with many left-wing policies his administration has implemented. He has also frequently engaged with conservative accounts on X, often interacting with and commenting on their posts. However, Musk has not explicitly endorsed Trump or any candidate for the upcoming election.

Trump has previously mentioned that he would consider Musk for a role as a political advisor in his administration if he wins a second term. In March Musk met with Trump in Florida, posting at the time, “Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President."

Trump has raised a substantial amount of money following his guilty verdict in Manhattan in May. That month alone, his campaign raised $141 million, much of which was by first-time, small-dollar donors.

Conversely, multiple Biden donors have threatened to withhold their funding amid concerns about the president's chances of winning re-election. Some have also used this as an incentive for the president to step down as the democratic party’s nominee for the upcoming presidential election.
