After former President Trump's announcement that he would not be returning to Twitter, despite the purchase by free speech champion Elon Musk, the Tesla and Space X CEO pointed out that the platform only exists because of Twitter's censorship.
Musk pointed out on Twitter that Truth Social is currently beating both Twitter and TikTok on the Apple Store. "Truth Social (terrible name exists because Twitter censored free speech," tweeted Musk.

Trump announced earlier this week that he would not be returning to Twitter.
"I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH," Trump said. "I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH."
Trump told Fox News in an exclusive statement that he will begin "TRUTHing" over the next week.
"We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter," Trump said. "Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can."
"The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter," he said.
Joe Rogan asked him to reconsider.
