The document omits the massacre of over 1,400 Israeli civilians and the kidnapping of over 200 hostages on October 7.

The teachers’ union for Seattle Public Schools is planning to bring forward a resolution for a ceasefire in the Middle East, but is unable to maintain a ceasefire on their campuses.

The Seattle Education Association is planning to bring forth the anti-Israel resolution at its Representative Assembly on Monday. The resolution tells various lies about the Jewish state and sides completely with Hamas. The document also omits the massacre of over 1,400 Israeli civilians and the kidnapping of over 200 hostages on October 7.

Other schools and colleges across the US have proposed similar resolutions.

Ironically, in the same document, the SEA lays out its "strategic goals" for 2023-24, including "Create a sense of belonging, reduce urgency and anxiety by establishing joyful rituals/routines" & "Eliminate racist practices," even while demonizing the Jewish state.

The SEA passed an equally biased resolution in 2021 in response to Israel defending itself after Hamas launched over 4,000 rockets at civilian targets.

The rest of the agenda is a mix of progressive causes including climate “justice” and taxing Amazon.

One of the goals listed for the assembly is to create “safe and healthy schools” for students.

In response to the George Floyd riots of 2020 that rocked the Emerald City, Seattle Public Schools, at the urging of the union, banned police from its campuses. Since then, there has been a massive spike in drugs and violence, including school shootings.

The district has refused to bring police back on campus and instead has opted to use private security when necessary.

Just last week, it took the understaffed Seattle Police over seven minutes to arrive at a school that had reports of a man entering the building with a gun.

Last week, some students at Garfield High School staged a walkout in solidarity with Hamas, joining a movement with other students and faculty across the US.

Students in San Francisco recently chanted antisemitic slogans, including "from the river to the sea," which means that Palestinians should eradicate the state of Israel from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea, and remove the Jewish people from that land.

Teachers in Washington state have been subjected to in-service training featuring antisemitic content.

A major history textbook in use in public schools "History Alive: The Medieval World and Beyond," downplays jihad and Sharia law while being highly critical of Judaism. The textbook comes from the Teachers' Curriculum Institute, which creates and publishes texts for all of the core disciplines.

The district sends many students to the University of Washington, which has seen three pro-Hamas rallies since the Oct. 7 attacks.

In response to the rise in antisemitism across the US, especially in schools, public school and college students have been transferring into private Jewish schools and universities.
