Family of slain Marine slams Biden for 'scripted and shallow' meeting with pregnant widow

"You can't f— up as bad as he did and say you're sorry," the slain Marine's sister said of President Joe Biden. "This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands."

Jiennah McCollum, the pregnant wife of Marine Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum who was one of the fallen US service members killed at the Kabul airport, had a brief and reportedly unsatisfactory conversation with President Joe Biden.

The family slammed Biden's meeting with Jiennah as scripted, shallow, and a "total disregard to the loss" of the slain Marine.

Jiennah was the only family member who even was willing to speak with Biden.

Roice McCollum, one of the late corporal’s sisters, told the Washington Post on Sunday that she, her sister, and her father all refused to meet with Biden because the family held the president responsible for the Marine's tragic death.

Jiennah has not spoken about the incident personally to anyone in the media. Roice, however, said that Jiennah was not happy with how the meeting went, and that Biden used the same talking points he used in previous speeches to the public.

Roice further commented to the outlet, "You can't f— up as bad as [Biden] did and say you're sorry. This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands."

Kathy McCollum, the mother of Rylee, also spoke to the media, harshly criticizing what she said was Biden's mishandling of the affair, and voicing that she felt her young son died in vain. "That feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die," the grieving mother told SiriusXM Patriot radio Saturday.

"You just killed my son with a dementia-ridden piece of crap who doesn't even know he's in the White House," Kathy told Democrats who voted for Biden.

Biden was present Sunday at the Dover Air Force Base reception of the fallen US service members killed in Afghanistan. At one point, Biden appears to check his watch. "You can see him jerk his left hand to pull the watch out from under his sleeve, then look down at it," reported Fox News columnist Nicholas Fondacaro.
