Dr Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease is set to release a book later this year that talks about lessons that have shaped his life philosophy.

Titled Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward, Fauci writes about his views on truth and looking towards a brighter future.

"In his own words, world-renowned infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci shares the lessons that have shaped his life philosophy, offering an intimate view of one of the world's greatest medical minds as well as universal advice to live by," states a Barnes & Noble overview of the book.

Word of the book first spread after National Pulse got the scoop on the weekend.

The book is set to include "life lessons compiled from hours of interviews," which looks to offer readers "a concrete path to a bright and hopeful future."

"Before becoming the face of the White House Coronavirus Task Force and America’s most trusted doctor, Dr. Anthony Fauci had already devoted three decades to public service," writes Barnes & Noble. "Those looking to live a more compassionate and purposeful life will find inspiration in his unique perspective on leadership, expecting the unexpected, and finding joy in difficult times.

The book, scheduled to be released on November 2, 2021, will cover Fauci’s time working to combat the HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and most recently COVID-19 over his 30 years of service advising numerous presidents.

"The earnest reflections in these pages offer a universal message on how to lead in times of crisis and find resilience in the face of disappointments and obstacles," says Barnes & Noble.

His bio as it appears on the Barnes and Noble website states that Fauci "one of the most celebrated and trusted doctors, both in the United States and around the world."

"Dr. Fauci’s research is heavily cited, and he is one of the principal architects of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved millions of lives throughout the developing world. At the 2020 outbreak of COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci became the face of the White House’s Coronavirus Task Force," it reads. "His leadership during this trying period and frequent appearances in national news has made him a household name."
