Feds indict 3 women who tracked down ICE agent, doxxed home address on Instagram

A federal grand jury has indicted three women accused of following an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent to his home, livestreaming the pursuit on Instagram, and posting his address online.

The Department of Justice announced the two-count indictment on Friday against Cynthia Raygoza, 37, of Riverside, California, Sandra Carmona Samane, 25, of Panorama City, and Ashleigh Brown, 38, of Aurora, Colorado.

According to prosecutors, on August 28 the defendants followed the ICE agent from the civic center in downtown Los Angeles to his residence. They allegedly livestreamed the pursuit, gave directions to viewers as they followed him, and encouraged others to share the stream. Once at the home, they shouted to bystanders during the broadcast that their “neighbor is ICE,” “la migra lives here,” and “ICE lives on your street and you should know.” The women also told viewers to “come on down” to the agent’s residence.

Both Brown and Samane were arrested on federal criminal complaints. Brown has also been charged in a separate case with assaulting a federal officer and is being held without bond. Samane was released on a $5,000 bond. Raygoza is still being searched for by law enforcement.

If convicted, each defendant faces up to five years in federal prison on each count. Homeland Security Investigations is leading the investigation.

“Our brave federal agents put their lives on the line every day to keep our nation safe,” said Acting United States Attorney Bill Essayli. "The conduct of these defendants are deeply offensive to law enforcement officers and their families. If you threaten, dox, or harm in any manner one of our agents or employees, you will face prosecution and prison time.”
