In the aftermath of the contentious meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a news clip resurfaced, reporting that former President Joe Biden also became angry at Zelensky over funding Ukraine in the war in a June 2022 phonecall.

Trump is not the only president who has become angry with Zelensky over the funding. According to reporting from NBC just months after the war began between Russia and Ukraine, Biden reportedly "lost his temper" and wanted Zelensky to "show a little more gratitude" to the US for funding the war effort.

"Biden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy that he had just greenlighted another $1 billion in US military assistance for Ukraine when Zelenskyy started listing all the additional help he needed and wasn’t getting," the outlet reported in November 2022 about a call that had taken place earlier that year.

"Biden lost his temper, the people familiar with the call said. The American people were being quite generous, and his administration and the US military were working hard to help Ukraine, he said, raising his voice, and Zelenskyy could show a little more gratitude," the outlet added.

The reported private clash between Biden and Zelensky has resurfaced, as some in the country have been critical of Trump for the meeting in which he and Vance grew angry with Zelensky over the state of the war and peace talks.

The meeting between the leaders in the Oval Office began to become tense, with Vance telling Zelensky, "Mr. President, with respect, I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media. Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines, because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for bringing it, to bring it into this country."

Zelensky then shot back, "Have you ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?"

As Vance explained what he had seen in terms of reporting coming out of Ukraine, Zelensky said that the US will eventually feel the problems of war, to which Trump responded, "Don't tell us what we're going to feel," and added, "You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're gambling with World War III. You're gambling with World War III. And what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country."

Zelensky was kicked out of the White House afterwards and Trump said that he can return to the White House after he is "ready for peace."
