Conservative leader Erin O'Toole published a letter he penned to Justin Trudeau in July, outlining how the abrupt exit out of Afghanistan will result in a catastrophic failure.

According to O'Toole in July, "The withdrawal of American military forces and NATO partners in Afghanistan have given rise to a sharp increase in Taliban activity in certain provinces. Afghan interpreters who bravely assisted alongside our Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan are receiving death threats and the safety of their families is in jeopardy," O'Toole wrote.

The Conservative leader goes on to outline Not-For-Profits seeking to reopen a pathway for immigration. For years, Afghan interpreters who work with western forces have been at risk and targeted by the Taliban. "As Afghan interpreters plead for assistance from your government to flee from these threats of danger, your government remains silent," wrote O'Toole in July.

One month later, the Taliban have successfully taken control of Kabul and effectively the entire country. These Afghan interpreters are reportedly at risk of losing their lives to the newly installed terrorist regime, unless there is a means to help them escape to Canada.
