A now-former agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been arrested for allegedly secretly filming women engaging in sex acts at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with law enforcement estimating there could be more than 80 victims.

Mark Allen Wells, 45, was subsequently charged with two counts of felony voyeurism and 11 misdemeanors for nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images.

According to Fox News, Wells stored the pornographic images and videos on his computer in neatly organized files. Morgan Ballou, who dated Wells off and on between 2016 and 2022 said that he had shown her the library of nudes, at which point she contacted one of the women whose name showed up, his now ex-fiancé Savanna Smith.

"At the time I was totally oblivious and it was a whirlwind since then finding out who he was as a person," Smith said, "An alias Facebook reached out to me and kind of let me in on who he really was. Of course, I did not want to believe it."

The pair went to the police in May 2023, and an investigation was launched. Over the following months, more victims were identified. His ex-wife came forward and claimed that he had secretly recorded her via a hidden camera on the bookshelf in one of their bedrooms. It was also revealed that Wells had allegedly sent sexually explicit images of them to at least eight people, both men and women.

Wells originally denied the existence of the album, telling investigators, "I can't imagine why I would brag to someone I was in an exclusive relationship with about having naked photos of other women," however it was discovered by authorities when they searched his home.

The FBI said upon hearing of the allegations against Wells that such conduct "will not be tolerated."

"As soon as the allegation became known, the employee was removed from special agent duties and has been denied access to FBI facilities pending resolution of the matter," the agency wrote in a statement. "We strongly condemn any behavior that falls short of the highest standards. We are cooperating with local law enforcement and all relevant entities who are investigating the matter."

Wells' next court appearance is scheduled for April 1.
