Premier Doug Ford announced on Monday that former General Rick Hillier will no longer be heading the task force for rolling out the vaccine in Ontario as of March 31, when his contract expires.

Ford claims he tried to convince Hillier to stay on, but Hillier says that things will be fine without him, and that Ontarians are on target to be vaccinated according to the current schedule.

Ontario vaccination plan announced for people ages 60 and over
The province of Ontario on Wednesday has finally announced its schedule for people aged from 60 years old up to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

According to The Toronto Star, the appointment was always considered to be a temporary one, and Hillier never planned to stay long-term in the position.

All over Canada, there have been errors and delays in the vaccine rollout, and problems at the federal level have severely affected individual provinces' efforts to distribute the vaccine effectively.
