In a recent interview with the BBC, Frasier star Kelsey Grammer reiterated his support for 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.

"I gotta ask you about politics before we finish, you mentioned Roseanne early on who had a great comeback, but also was a Trump supporter. You were, at least you were, a Trump supporter. I’m fascinated to know if you still are," interviewer Justin Webb asked.

"I am, and I’ll let that be the end of it,” Grammer replied.

Webb explained after cutting back to the live show, "That was the end of it. I have to say actually Kelsey Grammer himself was perfectly happy to go on talking about it. The Paramount+ PR people, less happy that he talked about it at some length."

Webb added, per The Messenger, "They decided that we'd had plenty of time for our interview," noting that Grammer was "absolutely perfectly happy to talk about why he supported Donald Trump and still does in the coming election."

In a May 2019 interview with CNN, Grammer said, "I’m not aware of taking a [career] hit for it but now, certainly passions run high, and certainly he [Trump] has touched on an extraordinarily passionate response...I don't know if it's as serious or horrible as everybody wants it to be."

"I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing. I don’t think Washington didn't do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they’ve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people. And I don’t think they’ve been helping anybody but themselves," he continued.
