Hillary Clinton compares Trump to Hitler on MSNBC as Dems' lawfare tactics fail

“People did not take the kind of threats that we saw in the 1930s as seriously as they should, including American journalists,” said Clinton.

Former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has once again likened former President Donald J. Trump to Adolf Hitler.

Clinton’s comments come as left-wing legal officials using lawfare tactics against the former president have consistently failed.

In an interview with MSNBC News, Clinton, who lost to the presumptive GOP nominee in the 2016 Presidential Election, compared Trump and his supporters to the 1930s era of Nazi Germany.

“The world has been here before. People did not take the kind of threats that we saw in the 1930s as seriously as they should, including American journalists,” said Clinton.

“You know, people were taking at face value that this can be controlled. He may have said some outrageous things, but, you know, the institutions will hold,” she continued.

“A determined demagogue, unfortunately supported by members of his political party, other enablers, people who care more about a future tax cut than the sanctity of the Constitution are falling in line behind him,” added Clinton.

Charlie Kirk, CEO and founder of conservative activist group Turning Point USA, weighed in on Clinton’s remarks and wrote, “As the law-fare fails, the fear mongering and the election rigging ramps up.”

This is not the first time Clinton has compared Trump to Hitler.

In a November 2023 interview with ABC’s “The View,” Clinton warned another Trump presidency would be “almost unimaginable,” claiming that when she was US Secretary of State she saw candidates who would get “legitimately elected” and then would attempt “to do away with elections and do away with opposition.”

“You could see it in countries where, well, Hitler was duly elected, right?” said Clinton. “And so all of a sudden somebody with those tendencies, so dictatorial authoritarian tendencies, would be like, OK, we’re going to shut this down.”

“Trump is telling us what he intends to do,” Clinton continued. “Take him at his word.”

Additionally, Clinton had also compared the former president's rallies to those held by the Nazi leader in 2022.
