As deportations continue under the new Trump administration, illegal immigrants deported out of the country are warning others considering crossing into the US against doing so.

One man who was deported across the border into Mexico told the New York Post, "There is a lot of 'migra,'" which means immigration authorities, "and everyone is getting caught. I don’t recommend to cross because there is a lot of 'migra.'"

This comes as the Trump administration has cracked down on illegal immigration that was allowed to flourish under the Biden administration.

Border encounters have dropped and deportation flights have begun, taking illegal immigrants out of the country. Colombia originally refused flights containing Colombians arrested in the US, but later "agreed to all of President Donald Trump’s terms" and allowed "the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on US military aircraft, without limitation or delay."

Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced that on Sunday alone, it had carried out 956 arrests and issued 554 detainers. According to NewsNation, this does not include the roughly 1,300 people who had been arrested by Thursday.

Border Czar Tom Homan has urged illegal immigrants within the US to leave. "If you’re in the country illegally, you're on the table, because it's not OK to, you know, violate the laws of this country. You got to remember, every time you enter this country illegally, you violated a crime under Title Eight, the United States Code 1325, it's a crime. So, if you're in a country illegally, you got a problem. And that's why I'm hoping those who are in the country illegally, who have not been ordered removed by the federal judge, should leave."
