'I wish I was more educated': Anti-Israel activists at NYU Gaza Camp admit they don't know why they are protesting

"I think the goal is just showing our support for Palestine and demanding that NYU stops - I honestly don’t know all of what NYU is doing," she responded.

As college campuses across the country have seen Gaza Camps popping up in protest of Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani shared a video on X capturing a moment of confusion among protesters at New York University (NYU) who failed to clarify what exactly they were protesting.

In the video, a protester is asked about the main goal of the demonstration, to which she admits uncertainty about why she is there.

“What would you say is the main goal with tonight’s protest,” the young protester was asked.

“I think the goal is just showing our support for Palestine and demanding that NYU stops - I honestly don’t know all of what NYU is doing,” she responded.

She then turned to another protestor and asked why they were protesting and what NYU was doing that prompted the protest, to which the second protestor responded “I wish I was more educated.”

“I’m not either,” the first protestor admitted, saying that she came from Columbia University after a call for support went out.

The video was posted following a walkout staged on Tuesday at NYU by the NYU Palestine Solidarity Coalition. The group led a number of students to walk out of class after the reckless pro-Palestine protests on Monday.

According to Fox News, the Monday night protests turned unruly, with protesters throwing bottles at officers. The NYPD responded by arresting over 150 demonstrators, using zip ties to remove them from the campus.

The protestors were calling for the university to divest money from Israel as well as close its Tel Aviv campus.

"We witnessed disorderly, disruptive, and antagonizing behavior that has interfered with the safety and security of our community, and that demonstrated how quickly a demonstration can get out of control or people can get hurt," said NYU Spokesperson John Beckman after the Monday protest.
