An illegal immigrant convicted of sexually assaulting multiple girls at a Virginia high school has been removed from the United States and sent back to El Salvador, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Israel Flores Ortiz, 19, was accused earlier this year of groping several of his female classmates at Fairfax High School. Flores Ortiz was subsequently convicted on nine separate counts of assault and battery.

“This groper is GONE. Israel Flores-Ortiz, an illegal alien who groped multiple high school girls in Fairfax County, VA, was DEPORTED to El Salvador yesterday. DHS will never stop fighting to REMOVE sickos like Flores-Ortiz, and make America SAFE again,” DHS said in a post to X.

Despite the severity of the charges, Flores-Ortiz received just six months in jail even though he faced nine years in prison.

In a statement to WJLA, an ICE spokesman said, "On Aug. 31, ICE officers arrested Israel Flores-Ortiz following his release from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Flores-Ortiz had been in the FCADC since March 25, serving his sentence for sexually assaulting nine high-school students. Flores-Ortiz illegally entered the United States in 2024 and was RELEASED into the country under the Biden administration. On Aug. 10, a Justice Department immigration judge ordered Flores-Ortiz removed from the United States. On Sept. 8, he was removed from our country and sent home to El Salvador.”

Earlier this year, it was reported that Flores-Ortiz had been accused of groping several girls at the school, with parents saying that he would go up behind female students and put his hand between their legs.

“There's a group of about 12 individuals that have reported this assault,” a mother told Nick Minock at WJLA. “It was all perpetrated by a single individual who is a stranger to the girls. He just sneakily walked up behind them and put his hand in between their legs. It was not just a butt smack or a butt grab. It was a groping of a private area. It had been occurring for several months.”

“Fairfax County has attempted to diminish what happened to these girls,” another mother said of the situation. Some of the victims were as young as 13 years old, and he was found guilty of assaulting 9 of the over a dozen who came forward.
