Carlos Fernando Pinola Pop, 41, of Kingston, NY has pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday. The illegal immigrant faces up to seven years in prison, being added to the sex offender registry, and deportation.

Pinola Pop pleaded guilty in an August 15 court hearing before Judge James Farrell to Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class D violent felony sex offense. Sentencing is scheduled for October 10. The District Attorney’s office stated that Pinola Pop on September 25, 2023 "subjected a seven-year-old child to sexual contact with his hands and penis on her vagina." The minor told her mother about the incident, who in turn informed a third-party community member. That community member contacted the police, and Pinola Pop was arrested on October 13 of that year. Pinola Pop admitted to the act to Kingston Police.

"The message of this case is clear," Jenna Hastings, special victims bureau chief for the district attorney's office, said in a statement. "A child should never be the target of a sexual act for anyone."

As the border crisis under the Biden-Harris administration continues, Democratic presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris has flip-flopped on the topic of constructing a border wall in the south, saying she’s prepared to spend millions on the wall that Trump had first proposed in his 2016 campaign.

Harris previously called the wall “un-American” while Trump was building it and a “medieval vanity project."

Illegal aliens continue to absorb the budgets of cities where they have been relocated from the southern border, often to stay at luxury hotels at public expense. California could be the first state in America to provide illegal immigrants with up to $150,000 in taxpayer-funded loans.
