On Saturday morning, CNN's Jake Tapper shared a tweet thread on Saturday that falsely claimed Trump supporters were trying to target Biden supporters with their vehicles in Texas.

This despite the fact there was clear evidence that in fact, the opposite happened—the a SUV of Biden supporters was filmed driving recklessly and attempting to sideswipe a truck full of Trump supporters.
This is the full video of the collision in Texas. The white SUV swerved into the truck’s lane while the Biden bus straddles both lanes. The Biden supporter whose thread went viral edited this video and cut out all the commentary explaining what happened. pic.twitter.com/FDm8wdWPBq

Later in the day, Tapper deleted his retweet and told his audience that the tweet thread was "deranged." But this was after many of his 2.7 million followers read the fake news on his feed.
The Biden campaign had planned a 14-stop bus tour, but cancelled after it became clear that there were more Trump supporters participating than Biden supporters.
Rasmussen Reports currently has Trump at +7 in Texas, 51 - 44.
