On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel celebrated Donald Trump being found guilty on 34 felony counts. The talk show host and his audience took pleasure in the fact that the leading opposition candidate to Joe Biden had become the first American president to be tried and convicted, joking about how the jurors should be "the new Supreme Court."

Kimmel also revealed that he had been responsible for sending a member of his crew to the courthouse to act as an over-the-top Trump supporter, who caused a scene and messed around with other people for views.

"Thank you for joining us here in Los Angeles on what was a big afternoon in New York and for the United States of America," Kimmel began. "We have the verdict in the case of the people versus OJ– I mean DJ."

As the host announced that the former president had been found guilty on all 34 counts, the audience cheered. "After seven long weeks the courtroom is empty," he quipped, "and Donald Trump's diaper is full." After playing a clip of Trump vowing to fight the verdict, Kimmel said, "The only thing you're going to be fighting to win is the jello cup on your prison cafeteria tray."

"We should automatically make those jurors the new Supreme Court," he added, garnering laughter and cheers from those in attendance.

Kimmel went on to discuss Trump's sentencing, which is set to take place on July 11, suggesting that he'd like to see him ordered to "pick up trash along the side of the road." He also said it had been "satisfying to finally see this guy get some comeuppance and more satisfying to see all the blood-sucking jellyfish who feed off his essence losing their minds."

Footage of the aforementioned fake Trump supporter, played by writer Tony Barbieri, showed him decked out in a "FreeDon" shirt and a "#1 Fan" hat, running around talking with people and doing interviews with media.

At one point, he held up a sign saying, "Free Father Teresa," and went on to scream not unlike the anti-Trump protestor who went viral following his election in 2016. He also pretended to hang himself with his red tie from a small tree branch, causing police to get involved.

"It's not that we think Trump's innocent, it's that we don't care," he said in one interview with media.
