"You're going to look real crazy being on the other side of that line, particularly as a person of color."
MSNBC's Joy Reid said that people of color in America will look "crazy" and "weird" if they don't support Vice President Kamala Harris as the nominee for President.
In an apparent call to get all people of color in America to vote for Harris, Reid said, "Given the just stratospheric entrance of Vice President Kamala Harris into the presidential campaign - and she has now secured enough delegates to become the nominee - you're going to look real crazy being on the other side of that line, particularly as a person of color."
"But really as anyone who claims to have any connection to the culture, you really going to look crazy being on that side given the cultural phenomenon of Vice President Kamala Devi Harris," Reid continued.
She added that Americans of color will "look real weird and real lonely" if they do not support Harris in the upcoming election, because of the presumptive Democrat nominee's status as a possible "first woman president."
Prior to Biden stepping out of the race, Reid had been a staunch defender of the president, even comparing Biden's bout of Covid the past week with Trump's experience of nearly getting killed by gunfire to be equally heroic circumstances.
Reid also spread conspiracy theories that Trump had been hit with glass instead of getting shot with a bullet, like many other left-wing pundits had online in reaction to the shooting. She also floated the idea that the assassination attempt was simply an opportunity for a Trump photo-op, "Donald Trump is an elderly man who for whatever reason was given nine seconds to take an iconic photo-op during an active shooter situation."
