Gisele Fetterman, the wife of first-term Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), has deleted her social media accounts.

Her account on Twitter had been deleted as of Tuesday, and her Instagram account was deleted at an earlier date. Her Facebook account has not been posted to since December.

In November, she announced in a since-deleted tweet that she would be taking a break from social media, and according to the Daily Caller, she attributed the break to feeling insulted by her treatment as Fetterman’s wife.

“Gisele posted several months ago that she would be taking a break from social media. She was getting bored with it, it wasn’t adding anything to her life, and she prefers to run into fires instead,” a spokesperson for Gisele Fetterman told the outlet. Gisele Fetterman became a volunteer firefighter in December 2022.

In one post to Instagram from December, a friend of Gisele Fetterman wrote, "Gisele Fetterman (can’t tag her because some of y’all bullied her so much she had to take a social media break — she is not her husband so please be gentle with your critiques."
