California senator and vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris met with Jacob Blake and family, including Blake's father who has been criticized for anti-Semitism.

Harris is travelling through the state of Wisconsin today as part of her campaign, and took the opportunity to visit Blake’s family at an undisclosed small airport in Milwaukee WI. Blake joined the conversation from the hospital by telephone. Their legal representation was also present according to ABC News.

"She encouraged them to continue to use their voices even through their pain to help America make progress to end systematic racism," said Benjamin Crump, one of the lawyers of Blake family’s legal team, who was present at the meeting.

Harris’s running mate and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had previously met with the same family and attending lawyers last Thursday.

Prominent critics, however, have raised serious concerns about such high-profile government officials meeting with people who would appear to have a strong anti-Semitic bent:

Blake (Jr.)’s father, Jacob Blake Sr., posted virulently anti-Semitic content all over social media, going back over the past few years.
