During a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Kevin Spacey discussed his experience flying on private jets owned by Jeffrey Epstein, explaining that he only came to do so via his work with a foundation operated by Bill Clinton. The actor said he believed Epstein put the former president "at risk," and confirmed that there were "young girls" on the planes with them.

Spacey maintained, however, that he did not know who Epstein was until recently, emphasizing that he and the late convicted pedophile were never friends. He did not divulge the extent of Clinton's relationship with the financier.

"In 2015, I started seeing reports online, things on my Twitter account, that I'd flown to this guy Jeffrey Epstein's island and I had abused young girls, and I was like– I mean if you'd asked me in 2015, maybe if you'd even asked me in 2002, did I know a guy named Jeffrey Epstein, I probably would've said no," Spacey began. "I have since learned who he is, and I have since been able to go back and find out that the airplane that we flew on for this humanitarian mission was owned by Jeffrey Epstein."

He explained that both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were on some of the same flights, but adamantly denied being involved with them. "I didn't know him. I've never spent any time with him. I was with the Clinton Foundation people, that's who I was with," he said.

Spacey said he was "very fortunate" that Clinton introduced him to business leaders from whom he could solicit donations for humanitarian work, but noted that Epstein was one person who he never went to asking for anything.

"I didn't wanna be around this guy, because I felt he put the president at risk," he said, noting that "there were these young girls" on a trip they all took to South Africa.

"There were young girls on those flights?" Morgan asked.

"There were young girls on those flights, yeah," Spacey replied.

Court documents released earlier this year revealed that one of Epstein's accusers, Johanna Sjoberg, told Maxwell's lawyer Sigrid McCawley that Clinton preferred young girls.

"Did Jeffrey ever talk to you about Bill Clinton?" McCawley asked, to which Sjoberg replied, "He said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls."

In 2019, the Clinton Foundation released a statement claiming the former president "knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York."
