Matt Walsh will be appearing at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Documentary event for a Q&A conversation on December 8 about his film "Am I Racist?", an Oscar contender, much to the chagrin of left-wing viewers.

Responding to Deadline’s announcement that Walsh would be appearing at the event, Walsh wrote, "Check out the comments to see a bunch of leftists who are very very upset that I’m an Oscar contender. Sorry guys. This is real. This is happening. You just have to deal with it."

One user wrote, "Hey Deadline really cool of you to promote a man who believes all minorities should be deported and that women should be impregnated by the age of 13. Really cool."

"I do not wish to see Matt Walsh in general," another user wrote.

"Eat sh*t," another user stated, while yet another wrote, "f*ck off."

One user wrote, "whos the f*cking idiot at deadline that thought this was a good idea."

"I see that the MAGA a** kissing has begun. Nothing about this hideous joke of the movie is 'acclaimed.' It might be a claimed by some trolls on Twitter but that's hardly a recommendation. This is embarrassing."

In late October, Walsh announced that his film had been submitted for Academy Award consideration. It is listed among over 100 other films under consideration for the documentary film feature category.
