The movie has brought in $4.7 million in revenue from 1,517 theaters.
The film produced by the Daily Wire has Walsh go on a satirical "journey" to becoming a "certified DEI expert." The company used only $3 million to make the film and the company partnered with SDG Releasing, a distribution company that was started by writers of "God's Not Dead" Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, per ABC News.
This was paired with Gray's title track "Am I Racist?" by Gray.
The film portrays Walsh learning and growing in his understanding of DEI programs and towards the end, he is able to dupe news organizations that he has seriously adopted "DEI expert" as his newfound career path.
In one scene, two anchors from Good Things Utah, a segment on the ABC News affiliate ABC4, Walsh shows the female anchors how to "stretch out of" their "whiteness."
At the beginning of the film, Walsh attends a focus group-styled seminar in order to learn more about DEI. He interrupts the woman leading the group with several different questions, and at one point leaves the room. When he comes back, the group has realized that Walsh is not really a participant so much as he is a widely known conservative commentator.
Walsh interviews several other DEI professionals during his time in the movie. In one of the more memorable instances, Walsh tricks Robin DiAngleo into giving his black producer, Ben, cash payment for "reparations."
