A pastor who has gained notoriety for defying lockdown orders has turned up at the Family Kitchen in Leamington, Ontario in order to support their lockdown protest.

Aaron Rock, who is the lead pastor at Harvest Bible Church in Windsor, Ontario, spoke out about the spiritual and economical damages of Premier Ford's lockdown.

Speaking in a Facebook video, Rock said that he "arrived here a couple of hours ago, and we just had a late breakfast at the restaurant, we're standing with small businesses, we're very concerned that the world doesn't seem to recognize that there's no life without a livelihood."

Peoples' lives are falling apart," added Rock. "We're also concerned for very practical, economic reasons."

"We hope that this galvanizes and encourages people to take a stand. We're gonna pray for them, and for these lockdowns to end, and hopefully, we can return to normal," concluded the pastor.

The Family Kitchen Restaurant in Leamington, Ontario, has opened its doors in defiance of the Ford government's "emergency brake" shutdown orders which widely impact small business owners.

According to one Facebook post, the restaurant owner, Kirsty Leathem, opened her doors to diners at 10:30 on Tuesday morning.

Speaking to CTV News, Leathem said that she believes she should be able to stay open if the Walmart down the street can.

Anti-lockdown groups, such as No More Lockdowns Canada, have made an appeal to the public to support the business, saying: "Businesses every day are standing up against lockdowns, and we must support them. Family Kitchen Restaurant is open with dine-in service, and will be ticketed tomorrow. We must fill their seats! Tuesday, April 6th @ 10 AM 73 Erie Street South Leamington."
