Polling conducted in January 2024 found that 20 percent of registered voters identified with the MAGA movement, while the March poll found that 36 percent of voters supported it.
According to NBC News, polling they conducted in January 2024 found that 20 percent of registered voters identified with the MAGA movement, which increased to 29 percent in late 2024, according to merged data from polling conducted in October and November 2024.
The outlet noted that the share of voters who say they support MAGA has been powered by 71 percent of Republicans who now support the movement. This is up from the October and November combined polling data, which found that 55 percent of GOP voters supported MAGA just before the 2024 presidential election.
A shift was also seen among college-educated men, with 21 percent supporting MAGA in the late fall 2024 polling data and 37 percent supporting the movement in March.
Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who works for Public Opinion Strategies and conducted the survey alongside Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates, said, "All of that shift is coming from Republicans."
"Look at this transformed party, where in 14 months we’ve gone from 40 percent of Republicans from saying they identify as MAGA to 71 percent.”
The poll was conducted between March 7 and 11 of 1,000 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.1 percent and may be an indicator that more and more Republicans have been satisfied with Trump's presidency so far.
