The MAGA right has made a clear distinction between removing a criminal dictator from his position and undertaking a war to create regime change conditions and what is in the best interests of the United States.
In the wake of Trump's capture and arrest of Venezuelan socialist leader Nicolas Maduro, there have been concerns about the potential coming of another "forever war." But the MAGA right has made a clear distinction between removing a criminal dictator from his position and undertaking a war to create regime change conditions and what is in the best interests of the United States.
Speaking to Mike Cernovich, Tucker Carlson spoke about what's next for Venezuela. "I'm grateful for the wisdom of not taking out the entire government, not because I support the government, but because, you know, we have clear models in Iraq and Libya and a lot of Syria. It can be very hard to put those things back together again," Carlson said.
"And the fact that they appear to be backing Delcy Rodriguez, not because they love her, but because they're in favor of stability over chaos and her brother, and they're kind of keeping the structure in place, but making sure it's pro-American. That seems like a much wiser approach that makes me calm down a little bit."
There has been a push among some international leaders to install opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Maria Corina Machado as president. Carlson said not backing Machado would be a "pivot against the neocons, because the Bibi people [Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu], literally, Bibi's office is pushing for MCM, this Machado lady, the gay marriage lady, the Klaus Schwab acolyte who is supposed to be the Nobel Prize winner, actually, who's supposed to be the president. Trump has said flat out, 'no, she has no support. We're not doing that.' But the neocons are pushing for her. They don't want the Vice President to ascend to the presidency."
"I knew when she won the Nobel Peace Prize, I actually posted, 'we're gonna go into Venezuela,'" Cernovich said.
"That's how the table gets set," he went on to say. By now, you can tell the future, if you just know that they always set the table a little bit beforehand, and the minute she won the Nobel Peace Prize and then praised Trump. 'Oh no, thank you for this.' But and then she's immediately kind of schmoozing with Trump. Oh yeah, we're going into Venezuela. I don't need any insight. I don't need any top secret sources. That was all I needed to see."
He also praised the way the strike was conducted, saying "I've always been a fan of the Trump approach, which is use stealth. We have these guys do targeted strikes, remind the world that the USA is still a world power, even though we might not feel that way, and exercise our might for a good purpose."
Breitbart News' Matt Boyle said "This is 'America First' in action." That perspective stems from the proximity of Venezuela to the United States and the impact that its drug trafficking and socialist policies have had on America, such as the massive influx of refugees and asylum seekers.
The National Pulse's Raheem Kassam said the precision strike was an effort in "rugged realism." The day that Maduro was arrested, he was set to meet with a Chinese delegation. "If there are to be puppets, they will be American puppets, not Chinese puppets," Kassam said.
Jack Posobiec noted that isolationism is not what America First means. Instead, he said "'America First' never meant isolationist. That's a neocon smear. One of the biggest splits that you will see is geography. There are a lot more 'America First' guys who are willing to be more aggressive within our hemisphere than across the world."
