"They will be forced to have pregnancies that they cannot afford to terminate and pregnancies that will then turn into children" explained Yamiche Alcindor.

In response to the leaked draft US Supreme Court opinion that indicates a possible overturning of Roe v. Wade, Yamiche Alcindor of MSNBC warned that one of the dangers of pregnancy is having children.

For context, the outlet put Alcindor in front of the abortion clinic in Jackson, Mississippi, that’s involved in the SCOTUS case making national headlines.

Alcindor claimed women at the facility were "'gutted,' 'devastated,' and 'like someone has died'" at the latest news. It was also there that the CBS reporter made the following remarks.

In the clip, Alcindor says women will "always be able to get an abortion because you'll be able to fly to one of what they're calling the '13 Safe States.' Places that might continue to have abortion, like California or New York. But for a lot of vulnerable women – women who are poor women or women of color – they will be forced to have pregnancies that they cannot afford to terminate and pregnancies that will then turn into children."

On Monday night, Politico leaked the contents of a 98-page SCOTUS opinion draft for a case last December, with Chief Justice Roberts later confirming the legitimacy of the document.

Justices Barrett, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Thomas sided with Alito when it came to voting in favor of Mississippi’s right to ban abortion within their state. The implications of the Supreme Court decision boil down to overturning Roe v. Wade and letting states decide abortion restrictions amongst themselves.

Reacting to the leak, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the SCOTUS leaker "knew exactly what it could bring about," in terms of general public reception. In light of security concerns for the safety of the Supreme Court Justices, barriers were put up around the Supreme Court building in Washington DC on Monday night.
