MTG slams venues for hosting drag shows for kids after canceling America First events in 2021

"Somehow," Greene lamented, "we are in a place in America where venues will cancel members of congress paying to use venues to give free rallies promoting freedom, but venues don’t cancel performers profiting off sexual shows grooming children in the audience."

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Twitter Tuesday morning to lament the fact that venues across the United States seem more concerned about America First events than drag shows for children, with the former often being canceled and the latter celebrated.

She suggested that those who host the events and bring their children are "intentionally grooming" them, and that it's wrong for those under a certain age to be viewing such sexually explicit material.

"All sexually explicit shows whether they are heterosexual, LGBTQ, or drag queen shows are inappropriate for children and children should not be allowed," Greene wrote, adding that many drag performances are often advertised "all ages."

"This is intentional grooming of children by both the parents and the performers," she continued.

As Tayler Hansen reports, the drag performances in question are part of a national tour with thirty-six shows in eighteen states. In a thread, he detailed some of the explicit moves put on by the queens, including the exposing of fake breasts in a box, and repeated grinding and humping.

Greene went on to explain that in 2021, she and Rep. Matt Gaetz had put on a series of America First rallies, but that multiple venues canceled on them as a result of "funded & organized harassment from the left."

She questioned why "all ages" drag shows, on the other hand, were not met with the same level of scrutiny.

"Somehow,"  Greene lamented, "we are in a place in America where venues will cancel members of congress paying to use venues to give free rallies promoting freedom, but venues don’t cancel performers profiting off sexual shows grooming children in the audience."

Many on the right have called out "all ages" drag shows as inappropriate for children, however most attempts to restrict such performances have come up fruitless due in large part to the support they receive from the left.
