Representative Nancy Pelosi lashed out at the US Supreme Court over its decision to hear out former President Trump’s presidential immunity claim in the 2020 election case filed against his acions on J6.

“The Supreme Court is placing itself on trial with its decision to hear the former president’s total immunity claim,” Pelosi stated. “It remains to be seen whether the justices will uphold the fundamental American value that no one is above the law – not even a former president.”

Pelosi, who has had accusations leveled against her for various legal violations such as misuse of financial campaign resources as well violating COVID-19 lockdowns to get her hair done, has demanded that Trump be held accountable for the actions of protesters and rioters on Jan. 6, 2021.

Special Counsel Jack Smtih brought charges that include conspiracy to defraud the United States as well as conspiracy to obstruct legal proceedings among others. Smith has also claimed that Trump can be found guilty of the charges even if Trump truly believed the election was stolen.

In a one-page brief order from Wednesday, SCOTUS granted the appeal from Trump to be heard by the Justices on the high court during the week of April 22, 2024, where oral arguments will take place.

“Without expressing a view on the merits, this Court directs the Court of Appeals to continue withholding issuance of the mandate until the sending down of the judgment of this Court,” the brief stated.
