The post stated, “Nearly did himself a neck injury.” The post included screenshots of what appears to be season two of the Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen. Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during a stop at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.
The post quickly drew backlash across social media. Libs of TikTok wrote, “Woke Netflix hates us. So glad I cancelled my subscription.”
Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec wrote, “Cancel Netflix completely.”
Turning Point Action rep. Brady Penfield wrote, “Netflix is really mocking Charlie Kirk’s death. Disgusting!”
GB News US correspondent Ben Leo wrote, “Netflix mocking the death of Charlie Kirk. Classy. I support their right to behave repugnantly. Just as I back my right to cancel three subscriptions totalling £60 a month.”
Matt Walsh wrote, “I’m apparently naive because at first I wanted to believe this was not a Charlie Kirk joke. But these “neck injury” references are a meme among retarded demonic leftists. Way too much of a coincidence that Netflix posts this today of all days. Clear what was intended. Despicable.”
Others were seen applauding the post. One user wrote, “We got Netflix Kirkposting. The left wins again wow.”
Another user wrote, “I’m crying, this is so sassy from Netflix on kirk’s day.”
“Whoever posted this needs to be given a raise,” wrote a user.
Kirk was making a campus tour stop at Utah Valley University when on the afternoon of September 10, 2025, he was fatally shot in the neck by a shooter on a nearby rooftop in front of a crowd of thousands. Tyler Robinson has been charged with Kirk's killing, and is facing the death penalty in the case. At the beginning of September, nearly one year after the shooting, the judge overseeing the case ruled that probable cause had been established and the case could move forward to trial. Robinson has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
