42 percent said they'd vote Conservative if the election was held today, compared to 22 percent who said the same for the Liberal Party.
Of the 1,550 Canadians surveyed online between June 6 to 13, 42 percent said they'd vote Conservative were the election held today. The Liberals came in at just 22 percent, which Abacus explained was the lowest vote share they have measured since Trudeau was elected prime minister in 2015.
According to the poll, Conservatives received more support than their Liberal rivals in all areas of Canada save for Quebec, which nonetheless remained a Bloc stronghold. Albertans were most likely to vote for Conservatives, at 61 percent, with Saskatchewan and Manitoba coming in close second at 51 percent. In British Columbia, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada, 44 percent of voters said they'd choose Poilievre's party, compared to just 18, 27, and 30 percent, respectively.
