CNN’s Jake Tapper tells followers not to make blacklists just days after warning Trump supporters of ‘consequences’
Jake Tapper warned that there would be consequences for Trump supporters, yet today he has chastised those who are making lists of Trump supporters in order to hold them accountable.
On Tuesday, in response to the Trump Accountability Project, Tapper said that blacklisting those who worked for the Trump administration was not in line with the "calls for unity and healing we've heard from President-elect Biden."
An organized attempt by former Dem officials to blackball from employment anyone who worked for the US government during the Trump administration seems the exact opposite of the calls for unity and healing we’ve heard from President-elect Biden. https://t.co/IICk2fDOck
But it was only the day before that Tapper warned those who worked for the Trump campaign that they should bear in mind that future employers will look down on their current efforts.
I truly sympathize with those dealing with losing — it’s not easy — but at a certain point one has to think not only about what’s best for the nation (peaceful transfer of power) but how any future employers might see your character defined during adversity.
Tapper can't seem to decide if those who are currently supporting President Trump and his efforts at recounts should be penalized for that or not. He calls for them to quit what they're doing lest their work is held against them, and then chastises the Trump Accountability Project for its intention to punish those who worked with the Trump administration.
In the week since the election, Democrats have been vocal about their plans to punish those who support Trump or have worked in his administration. They seem to believe that it was immoral for these folks to have worked in the White House for a democratically elected president.
