“Individuals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be allowed within the House of Commons Precinct.”
Canada’s top leadership has decided that Members of Parliament (and staff) must be vaccinated against COVID if they wish to enter the House of Commons.
News of the mandate came Tuesday evening. The order says everyone—including MPs—must be vaccinated against COVID by Monday, November 22 within the House of Commons.
Speaker of the House, Antony Rota, rules that from Nov 22 everyone in the House of Commons precinct must be fully vaccinated.

"This requirement will apply to any person who wishes to enter the House of Commons Precinct, including Members and their staff, political research office employees, Administration employees, members of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, parliamentary business visitors, contractors and consultants."
It was the position of Prime Minister Trudeau that vaccine mandates are a "victory for democracy." Although even in the case of chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam, there was an admission of how complicated the process can be to implement such standards on the federal level.
According to Blacklock's, only three MPs have ever been denied their seat since Confederation: Louis Riel in 1875, Thomas McGreey in 1891, and Fred Rose in 1947, who was found to be a Soviet agent.
Parliament is set to return to work on November 22. They’ll have a few weeks of work to attend to before winter holidays.
