Hunter Biden reveals new moneymaking scheme: run for president

Hunter Biden, the beleaguered former first son, hinted at his intentions to join the race in an interview that aired Sunday on WABC's Cats Roundtable, the New York Post reported.

Speaking to host John Catsimatidis (the billionaire CEO of New York-based supermarket chains Gristedes and D'Agostino, as well as several other businesses), Biden said financial backing could be a deal-breaker in his decision to become the third father‒son duo in U.S. presidential history (following the Adams and Bush dynasties).

“If I get your endorsement, I may have to,” Biden told Catsimatidis about his potential run.

“The things I care most about is [sic] the 50 million Americans that are still suffering with their addictions,” the recovering crack-addict added.

However, Biden could face a steep climb, considering his father was forced out of his failed reelection bid by his own party and faced widespread disapproval for reneging on a promise not to pardon his son.

Hunter Biden has argued that his shady past, including convictions in two separate states for illegal possession of a firearm and tax evasion, would be an asset more than a liability since all his dirty laundry has been aired already.

Indeed, the abandoned laptop of his that became a focal-point in the 2020 election (and efforts to cover it up that followed) showed pictures of Hunter cavorting with prostitutes and engaged in apparent drug use.

“I was given the gift of being so publicly shamed and humiliated, and literally stripped bare, in some cases literally stripped naked in the public square," Biden told NPR. “I had nowhere to hide, nowhere left to hide. I had no more secrets that I could keep.”

Catsimatidis and other prospective campaign donors would be well advised, however, to note the experiences of Biden’s previous benefactors, including his longtime “sugar brother,” Kevin Morris.

After standing behind the troubled political scion in his darkest hour, Biden’s waning influence and escalating legal troubles ultimately left the Hollywood entertainment lawyer feeling used and depleted.

Morris, who became wealthy representing “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, became a subject of ridicule himself for his unwavering belief in Biden’s ability to overcome his vices and redeem himself.

"The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter,” a source close to Morris told Politico.

Outside of his famous family connections, Hunter Biden may best be known for his high-dollar abstract paintings, some of which are believed to have fetched up to $500,000 per canvas during his father’s presidency.

As for his political platform, Biden recently told ex-CNN correspondent Jim Acosta that he supported all of those who dislike President Donald Trump going on strike, potentially jeopardizing his cushy new gig as development director for a Los Angeles-based homeless prevention group.

“I’ve been thinking we should’ve done that a long time ago,” Biden said. “People have to respond in kind ... A general strike? 100 percent. Civil disobedience? 100 percent. Mass mobilization? 100 percent.”

Biden previously signaled his interest in becoming Gavin Newsom's running mate on a 2028 ticket. It was not immediately clear whether his plan to seek the top spot could harm those prospects.
