With the Olympics just a few days away, Jack Posobiec breaks down the flaws in China's attempt to construct a "zero COVID" environment.
Athletes and other personnel from around the world have begun arriving in Beijing ahead of the Winter Olympics, which are slated to begin on February 4.
China's attempts to quell the spread of COVID have left many wondering if they've gone too far. On the latest episode of Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec outlined some of the concern.
"All the athletes are going, no boycotts," Posobiec began. "Western media companies, they're sponsoring it, but they're pretending they're not sponsoring it, or they're only running ads within China."
He then turned his attention to China's handling of COVID-19. "The US Embassy in China is asking the State Department if their diplomats can leave over COVID restrictions," he said, reading from a CNN report, "amid increasingly strict Covid-19 containment measures." The request has not yet been approved.
"China is one of the few places in the world still adhering to a zero-Covid strategy, in which it aims to stamp out all cases within its borders," the report adds.
"So CNN will report this when it's in China," said Posobiec, "but they don't talk about it when it's anywhere in the west, when it's anywhere in the United States, anywhere within Canada with the truckers you got right now, anywhere in Europe with the mass protests we're seeing."
Posobiec went on to highlight the fact that people in China have been forced to quarantine in malls and offices, often for days on end, as the country attempts to achieve "zero COVID."
"They've also set up 'Quarantine Camps'," Posobiec added, before showing a video of what is reportedly one of the facilities.
He then turned his attention back to the Olympics. "ESPN's not sending reporters over, NBC's not sending reporters over, but ... we're sending our athletes because we're stupid, and because we're kowtowing to the CCP, we're kowtowing to Xi Jinping."
Posobiec explained that athletes and the media will be placed in the "Beijing Olympics bubble" which he says "literally is this giant bubble," with "robots that serve the food." He goes on to call the bubble "the most dystopian and draconian things [he's] ever seen."
"This is what Huxley and Orwell warned us would happen," Posobiec continued, "You will see man-made horrors beyond your comprehension."
"Even within that bubble," he explained, "which is referred to by officials as a 'closed loop,' ... 42 people already have tested positive. This thing is getting through, it is getting through their tests, it's a breakthrough, so it's breaking through their vaccinations. They're not going to be able to contain Omicron; that bubble is going to become a super-spreader, and every single person there is going to come at risk of being infected by this thing."
"I have no idea why these names are not being delayed, the way that Japan and Tokyo had delayed their games," Posobiec asked. "Oh wait, I do. It's because Xi Jinping rules the world."
China is requiring a mandatory app that is ostensibly for "health monitoring" for all Beijing Olympics participants, media and govt officials.
As you'd expect, it turns out to be spyware that records everything said.

Posobiec is not the only one sounding the alarm on China's Olympics. Others have pointed out that health monitoring could be masquerading as a chance to spy on athletes and officials from around the world. According to mobile and IOT researcher Jonathan Scott, "all Olympian audio is being collected, analyzed and saved on Chinese servers" via an app that all participants are required to use.
