16-year-old girl missing, feared abducted after vanishing from California campsite

Kiely Rodni, 16, has not been seen or heard from since attending a party celebrating the end of the 2022 school year at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee. Rodni was last seen around 12:30 am on Saturday at the campsite in her Honda CRV, according to Daily Mail.

Around 100 teens from Tahoe, Truckee, Reno, Sparks, and Auburn attended the party and the family is desperately pleading for individuals to come forward that may know her whereabouts.

Police say they are treating Rodni's disappearance as an abduction case because her cell phone is out of service and her vehicle has not been found, Daily Mail reports. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details.

Rodni's family owns a small hotel called The Lost Trail Lodge which is just 12 miles away from the campsite where Rodni vanished. The family lives on the property.

Lindsey Rodni, Kiely's mother, made a heartbreaking video pleading for her daughter to return home.

"Please, we just want to see our daughter home," Lindsey Rodni said. "We are not looking to arrest anyone or get anyone in any trouble. We are so scared. We miss her so much and love her so much."

"If you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you. If you know where she is or know anything about where she might be.. please come forward," she added, desperate for information. "We're not looking to arrest anybody or get anybody in trouble we just want to see our daughter home."

A GoFundMe has been created by friends and family which offers reward money in hopes that it could generate tips to Rodni's whereabouts.

On a separate website where individuals can provide anonymous tips, the organizers have asked parents of the teens to look through their child's phone to see if they have any pictures of Kiely that could be used to piece together a timeline, Daily Mail reports.

"If you are a parent of a child that attended this party or attended yourself, please look at yours or your child's photos/videos/social media for any background images of Kiely to piece together a useable timeline; who she may have been with, when she may have left," the website reads.

Kiely is 5ft 7 and weighs 115lbs. She was last seen wearing green pants and black top.
