Adam Carolla slams cancel culture in Hollywood, says being blacklisted is ‘a small price to pay’ for free speech
“Well, I don’t get a lot of Hollywood roles, I don’t get my documentaries into Sundance … but it’s kind of a small price to pay to say what I want to say.”
Actor and comedian Adam Carolla claimed he has been "blacklisted" by the movers and shakers in Hollywood after facing calls to be cancelled over comedic content.
Carolla insisted that speaking out is worth it and that he wouldn't have it any other way, calling most Hollywood actors and actresses "cowards."
"Well, I don't get a lot of Hollywood roles, I don't get my documentaries into Sundance … but it's kind of a small price to pay to say what I want to say."
Carolla went on to express his opinion about the environment in Hollywood: "Actors are cowards. They play heroes, but they're cowards and they're soft and they're weak and they go along with anything. If you're an actor and you live in California, they won't say anything, they're cowards. They want money,"
"They all live under the rule of Gavin Newsom. He's ruining most of our lives."
Carolla also mentioned in the course of the interview that people such as the CEO of Netflix donated millions to stop the recall effort for California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom. "I'm a comedian. I have to say what I want to say. Otherwise I should go back to swinging a hammer," continued Carolla.
"They know I won't apologize. I told them I won't apologize a long time ago and they basically leave me alone," Carolla declared.
