Biden slams Rangers for full stadium reopening while border facilities overflow with migrants

Speaking to ESPN on Wednesday, Biden said that "Well that's a decision they made, they should have listened to Dr. Fauci and the scientists and the experts, I think it's not responsible," according to TMZ.

As regards the NHL's plans to allow full capacity, he said that the season play being few months down the line gives them more of a chance to get vaccinated. "I don't know why we don't follow the science," he said.

Biden used the opportunity to tell people to "get the vaccine," and said that "everyone will be able to get the vaccine."

Globe Life Field, where the Rangers play, can hold more than 40,000 fans to watch America's greatest pastime, but Biden is worried that games could become super spreader events, though he appears to have no concerns about that as regards the overflowing US-Mexico border.

The Rangers, set to play the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, April 5, have said that fans will be required to wear face masks. The Rangers will be the only team in Major League Baseball to allow full capacity. Most teams have capped at 50 percent capacity or less. Biden further urged players, coaches, and fans to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The conditions at the US-Mexico border have not been termed super spreader events, though facilities in Texas are overflowing. Human trafficking has also increased along the border, with children being dropped over the border wall late at night.

Many migrants have simply been crammed together in makeshift facilities under bridges. The administration has refused to call the situation at the US-Mexico border a crisis.
