Biden whistleblower Tony Bobulinski sues Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov for falsely claiming he was funded by Trump super PAC

In a statement about the lawsuit, Bobulinski said, "Today I filed a lawsuit against Ms. Jessica Tarlov of Fox News for defamation. Although I am seeking compensatory, special, and punitive damages from her for the damage her public remarks inflicted on my personal and professional reputation, this is not about money. This is about the truth, for which I have been fighting for four years."

"I will donate every penny I may be awarded in this suit to a children’s hospital and to support our military Veterans. Ms. Tarlov refused to apologize and sincerely correct the record. I look forward to holding her accountable in a court of law and to continuing to bring the truth to the American people," he added.

The lawsuit, filed on Thursday, stated that last Wednesday Jessica Tarlov, who was on Fox News' The Five at the time, "lied about Anthony Bobulinski and Stefan Passantino, saying that Mr. Bobulinski's legal fees are being paid by a Trump Super Pac as recently as January 2024."

They also demanded that Tarlov make a public retraction and apology on March 21.

Tarlov made a clarification that day on air in part, but not a full retraction.

"What was actually said during the hearing was that the law firm representing Mr. Bobulinski was paid by a Trump PAC," Tarlov stated on air. "I have seen no indication those payments were made in connection with Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees and he denies that they were."

The clarification did not meet the standard that was necessary for Bobulinski to step back and on Friday the two wrote in a letter demanding a full retraction and apology.

The second letter read, "Ms. Tarlov petulantly made it a point to state that this was a ‘clarification,' not an apology."

"'What was actually said at the hearing' left the impression that it was a matter of fact, not a claim made by a democrat representative, that Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees were being paid for by a Trump PAC and that Mr. Passantino’s law firm secretly accepted funds from any source other than Mr. Bobulinski personally for this representation," the second letter stated.

The second letter was dismissed by Fox News altogether with a memo sent to Bobulinski from Fox, saying that Tarlov's on-air "statement was an entirely accurate report on the congressional proceedings. At the hearing in question, Representative Crockett stated that the Save America PAC had paid the law firm."

The lawsuit filed on March 28 by Bobulinksi and his legal representation alleged that Tarlov "was aware at the time she made them that these false statements invoking President Trump would inflame a segment of the country against Mr. Bobulinski and Mr. Passantino and would falsely cause her viewers to disbelieve Mr. Bobulinski’s sworn testimony."

Documentation in the suit also states, "Payments from PACs are also available in public filings, none of which show a Trump-affiliated PAC paying for Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees."

A Fox News spokesperson told The Post Millennial, "Jessica Tarlov’s March 21st statements were accurate and made clear that she was not aware of anything to indicate that payments from a Trump PAC to Elections, LLC were made in connection with Tony Bobulinski’s legal fees. We stand by our decision to not issue any further corrections and will vigorously defend against these inaccurate claims."
