Back in February of 2014, Bill Clinton arranged for a secret dinner with socialite and accused sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
Maxwell is currently in a jail cell in New York awaiting trial for multiple offenses, but back in 2014 she was sitting at an intimate post-gala dinner in Los Angeles when the former US President joined the tightly-knit group.
According to the New York Post, by 2014 there were already serious allegations circulating against Maxwell and her alleged partner in crime, the late Jeffrey Epstein, regarding their possible involvement in sex-trafficking of young girls to high-rollers all over the world. Clinton still saw fit to break bread with Maxwell.
In fact, the investigation into Epstein and Maxwell began back in 2005. By 2008, Epstein had been arrested for soliciting a minor for sex, pled guilty and served more than a year in a Florida jail for the crime. He was arrested again in 2019 but was found dead in his cell before he could be brought to trial.
Last year, a spokesperson for Clinton said, "President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York." Recently there has been no comment on the issue, however.
More and more allegations against Clinton have been coming to light regarding his connection with Maxwell and Epstein. In addition, many other prominent and famous figures are at risk of being implicated, from politicians to Hollywood moguls to members of the British royal family.
